Ảnh hưởng của mức độ nghiêm ngặt về các biện pháp ứng phó của chính phủ tới thương mại quốc tế trong đại dịch COVID-19: Bằng chứng từ Châu Á - Thái Bình Dương

Bài viết đánh giá tác động của mức độ nghiêm ngặt trong các biện pháp ứng phó của chính phủ tới thương mại quốc tế tại khu vực Châu Á - Thái Bình Dương trong đại dịch COVID-19. Dựa trên phân tích dữ liệu bảng của 24 quốc gia giai đoạn 2020-2022 kết hợp chỉ số nghiêm ngặt chính sách từ Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker, kết quả cho thấy các chính sách nghiêm ngặt như phong tỏa và hạn chế di chuyển có tác động tiêu cực đến xuất khẩu và nhập khẩu. Bên cạnh đó, hồi quy phân vị cho thấy tác động này mạnh hơn ở các quốc gia có giá trị giao thương cao. Tuy nhiên, số ca nhiễm COVID-19 có tác động tích cực tới thương mại, đặc biệt với hàng hóa y tế. Kết quả nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của việc thiết kế chính sách cân bằng giữa kiểm soát dịch bệnh và duy trì chuỗi cung ứng, đồng thời đề xuất tăng cường phối hợp khu vực và đa dạng hóa đối tác thương mại để nâng cao khả năng phục hồi kinh tế hậu đại dịch.
