Nghiên cứu phân tích tác động không đồng nhất của tài chính toàn diện và đổi mới công nghệ đến dấu chân sinh thái tại 12 quốc gia EAGLEs trong giai đoạn 2008-2023 bằng phương pháp Hồi quy Phân vị đồng thời (PSQR). Kết quả thực nghiệm cho thấy tài chính toàn diện có tác động tiêu cực đến dấu chân sinh thái trên tất cả các phân vị. Đồng thời, phát hiện tác động phi tuyến của đổi mới công nghệ, làm gia tăng dấu chân sinh thái ở các phân vị thấp và trung bình nhưng lại giúp cải thiện chất lượng môi trường ở phân vị cao. Nghiên cứu cũng khẳng định vai trò điều tiết quan trọng của đổi mới công nghệ khi tích hợp với tài chính toàn diện, giúp giảm áp lực sinh thái ở các quốc gia ít ô nhiễm nhưng lại làm trầm trọng thêm tình trạng này ở các quốc gia ô nhiễm cao. Từ đó, nghiên cứu đề xuất các chính sách dựa theo bối cảnh phân vị thay vì áp dụng một khuôn mẫu chung cho tất cả.
